Hello, I am Diego
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Barcelona, Spain.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Spain wasn't in the grand plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
Those initial months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, heightened expectations. Daily chores seemed more challenging than they needed to be.
The Transition Phase
Culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning followed. Gradually routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began constructing something that felt steady.
Why I Created GlobeCipherModule
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a frank, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Spain.
What This Site Stands For (And What It Does Not)
This site IS:
- Hands-on experience from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a genuine change
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a platform for sponsored reviews
- Not a generic travel blog
Future Outlook
Our time in Spain goes on, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Barcelona or anywhere in Spain, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Diego
